Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
MARK TWAIN

The objective of The Disabled Sailing Trust New Zealand is to fundraise, build and operate a 16 metre purpose-built catamaran that can be sailed by a disabled crew. Currently, there is no large purpose built yacht available to the disabled community in New Zealand. This unique catamaran will facilitate on-the-water experiences for those with disabilities, the medically fragile, or any other special needs group who may not otherwise have this opportunity.

Our programmes will provide challenging, empowering, educational outdoor experiences which promote independence, self-confidence, and self-esteem in participants of all ages. Disabled groups will be able to go sailing rather than be taken sailing, with the emphasis on inclusion and having serious fun.
