The boat
The boat has been designed to allow differently abled sailors to mix freely on an equal basis. It is easily handled by a crew of disabled sailors using hydraulic and electrically driven adapted controls. Whatever your disability, you can be an active member of the crew, doing as much or as little as you like.
Features
- Single level from aft cockpit through into the saloon, galley and forward navigation station.
- Low sill height and large windows provide almost all round visibility from a seated position.
- Electric lifts enable wheelchair users access from the saloon down into the hulls, the cabins and toilets. Ramps allow access from the dock to the yacht and up on to the foredeck.
- Galley is wheelchair accessible with low level benches and appliances.
- Toilets and showers are wheelchair accessible.
- Platform at the rear of the cockpit will lower into the water to assist the less mobile for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking.
- Adapted sailing controls including:
- Electric winches for sail control and the anchor
- Wheel and joystick steering control
